The view through the viper is sharp and clear, no distortion. The focus is sharp from about 20 feet to infinity. The optics are 100% clean and clear.

The viper is incredibly small and light, yet still manages to feel very solid and durable. It gives a clear view of the nest and ospreys. The grip is rubbery and texturized, and the ridges are pretty cool and functional.

It's slightly less ergonomic (different traction and finger grooves), but by no means was it uncomfortable or difficult to use. I'm surprised at how helpful the finger molded grip is. This thing rocks!

The clarity of the image and level of magnification are very impressive. She likes that it is not as bulky as binoculars. The optics are amazing for such a small devise.
