The hippus advertises 500 ansi as opposed to my kjm’s 1500 ansi.
We already owned a similar one (vankyo) that was priced around the same it it doesn't have near the picture quality or sound of this one.

The unit does not come with any streaming apps like netflix but thats okay because you can connect a roku or fire stick via hdmi

Theres no way to turn off this setting but honestly its not that big a deal because you can just hit the okay on the remote every few minutes and prevent it from happening
