I had to press the button on the camera to connect it but after that it seamlessly connected

The problem with the camera is that due to the overhang for the license plate lights on my 2009 civic the camera bar obscures part of the plate

I will try to rejig it to attach to the bottom on the plate but this step is not quite as easy as made out

You can choose to mount the camera at the top or bottom of your license plate and flip the image if needed
