Pros & Cons
Pros
The pet libro polar enters the chat. It's intuitive to set up, and the recent updates offer more feeding window flexibility. This is by far the best solution i’ve found yet.
Stainless steel bowls are a must! Our cat eats his meal over of two sittings. My boy who the feeder is for is 18 lbs and apparently likes to eat on top of it.
The cord is a good length and it's braided which is a nice touch! Also my cats love it. Quality is on par with all their other products.
Initial setup requires prepping all three sections of the feeder at least 45 minutes before feeding time to ensure the first meal doesn't spoiled. You can refill the trays at any time during the day so long as you don't change the position of the meal... Read More
It opens with a nice “ding’ that isn’t too disruptive but a nice touch. I have it set for 4 hours before it closes.
Cons
Only saw lid open once during the scheduled times. I've had to re enter all the schedules from scratch at least 3 times on 2 units.
The app is too tricky and limiting. This defeats the purpose of the automatic feature. Only works via wi-fi. I understand they worry about food safety, but this should be user programmable.
Trays rotating out of order or into empty trays. The tray is plastic with no stainless steel option which is another minus. The stainless steel cooling panel underneath the tray accumulates ice so if the trays were also the same material, it would fre... Read More

The whole product is very easy of assembly!
It is easy to program, the food stays cold and fresh, and my cat began using it right away.

It only took the first try for my cats to get used to the bell ringing and the food door sliding open.
Price
At such a high price point the polar feeder should be no exception.

So after sustained efforts to try and train him to wait until a more reasonable hour to no avail my routine has long since been to get up feed him and then desperately try to claw back whatever sleep i could afterwards

It took me some time to make up my mind it being a new product and first of its kind on the market i at least had never seen refrigerated automatic feeders before i seemed to see there were some teething pains among users in terms of functionality app updates etc

And living in europe i was worried about ordering it from the us in case the monthlong return window wasnt long enough to address any potential issues or for my cat to take to it

It took zorro a bit of time to figure out what the machine did he didnt respond to the sound the way he did to his longtime kibble feeder so i would still get up to show him what happened when the ding sounded and he would happily eat out of the open tray

I placed both machines next to each other timed so that they would dispense in staggered fashion so he wouldnt wander off to nag me between 34courses34

I have been in touch with them a fair bit since i got the machine i had some issues with setup there was an issue with the wifi connection i couldnt figure out as well as questions regarding empty trays opening when i only had a couple meals set to dispense in a meal plan the hot plug issue that ive seen several users mention and condensation in the refrigerated area

I think the one i needed to get my head around more is how the rotation of the trays works when your meal plans dont involve three full trays but rather only two or even one
