The motors and lights will only work if you have the tools and the care to unsolder and resolder joints smaller than a straight pin head

Of note here these batteries like the oem battery are wrapped in what appears to be tape

On one of the batteries the tape stuck out a bit on the corner of the battery and so it couldnt be inserted in to the quadcopter
