I also started using the aveda brilliant emollient finishing gloss prior to flat ironing and i absolutely love it!
My hair is damaged from curling it every day and this products tames the frizz.
Very disappointed with the anti-humidity smoothing milk.

The only reason i left off a star is because i think they are a tiny bit pricey.
75 ounces of the moroccan oil and it has hold, and it does a great job for a fabulous price.
A little pricy, but still cheaper than you can buy in any local salon.
Well worth money if straighter hair is what you want.

I do wish i came in the same large pump bottle i purchased of the shampoo but i just purchased two of these to make up for it.
Competitiveness
The other products i named are very good, all different prices but fructis is the biggest bang for your buck.
I usually love aveda products & this 1 is no different.
These are all apples-to apples comparisons as every company usually makes a dozen different products.
Otherwise i have to say aveda is one of the better hair products overall.

I find it to be among the better ones and i have used many from fredrick fekkai glossing cream chi silk infusion nexxus fructis antihumidity smoothing milk and argan oil of morocco penetrating oil and kiehls silk groom creme with silk groom

You dont have to spent a lot necessarily to get a good job from hair and skin products but i do find the better ones usually do charge more

It doesnt provide hold so you have to add a different product

If your hair has more curl to it and humidity will ruin your do then i would try avedas antihumectant pomade brilliant
