The thumb twist controller is really good. Seems dependable so far. Quality of components is as good as they need to be. The smoother the better.

Watt rating is appropriate and takes my bike to 30mph in hilly colorado springs. Amps, so i should get a decent speed & range out of it.

Cons

The kit is not waterproof, but heats up to more than the melting point of any known plastic under even the lightest of loads. Unusable in the winter months.

This hub motor gets my bike around 30mph and was incredibly inexpensive.

You must separately purchase a torque arm (around $10) to prevent shaft twisting in fork.

This thing will pay for itself in time if it doesn't fail.
