Oil pastels arrive in a sturdy box that has a divider for each of the different colors. They also provide a very well-made palette knife. The pallet knife works well. A quality metal w/ wooden handle palate knife is also included.

Competitiveness
They also provide a very well-made palette knife.
But those few differences aside, these pastels are a great choice at a fraction of the cost.
Now i badly want to try their macarons and the other that starts with m i forget.

These arent top of the line pastels

I don’t think they are as good as artecho or mungyo and they crumble unpleasantly

I can recall a professor who insisted we poor art students invest all kinds of money in expensive french oil pastels and that we only ever use these french pastels

So while i always loved the medium it was one i never fully adopted due to the expense and perhaps ptsd from this stern professor

Where they differ from my experience with highend french pastels are in a few technical areas that would likely only matter to professional artists and my former professor

This is can be quickly remedied with the use of the palette knife but is something i never saw as much with my french pastels

The occasional user wont mind or even notice this but more expensive pastels do play together a little more fluidly
