My second copy (an exchange) fared better, but was still poorly packed.

It deletes a couple of the units from global namely mechanized infantry and tactical bombers and does not have airstrips or seaports as infrastructure

Overall some of the nuance of logistics and troop movement is reduced but it does tend to make the game more manageable and a little faster

Also the game comes with instructions for 1941 or 1942 play so two versions in one
