The grip of the cover is nice but the feature that drew me to buying this cover was the sleepwake function which didn’t work on my original case but after writing my review the seller contacted me and reconciled the situation by sending me a functioning case at no cost to me

Warning at least some designs for 2019 kindle basic may come in two versions according to comments from ayotu customer service regarding an issue with my purchase with older version lacking auto sleepwake function

I did just receive and email from the manufacturer stating that the sleepwake function of opening and closing the cover to turn the kindle off and on has been removed

Upon opening i noticed the “material” is just cheap cardboard torn in all 4 corners right out of the box

Then i notice before i even put the kindle in both sides of the plastic retaining case are bowed and bent not allowing for a proper grip on the device
