The pages are bright and colorful and make a crinkly sound which keeps baby entertained. The crinkle is very satisfying and he loves flipping the pages and biting the teethers and spine. It makes a crinkle sound, but it’s that new “soft’ crinkle.

First and 3-rd pages' lining is some kind of terrible cellophane plastic or paper tissue that makes unpleasant noise. Very disappointing.
