I followed some tips i saw in other reviews -- my glass was scratched, not shattered, so i couldn't remove pieces with the tweezers.
Photo attached shows my tools of the trade (minus hairdryer), taken with the freshly replaced glass as proof of clarity.

Im honestly kind of amazed with 8 a hairdryer some nail glue a pushpin and half an hour i did what the local tech store quoted me 160 to do

I put the flat part of the pin onto the lens glass wiggled it a little and the glass came right off

Used the tip of the pin to clean up the remaining adhesive and then opened up one of the two little baggies containing a glass lens and an adhesive ring

I took off the plastic barrier from one side of the glass and one side of the adhesive and used tweezers to place the adhesive onto the glass then used the tweezers again to remove the barrier from the other side of the adhesive and put the glass adhesivesidedown onto the camera

I used a cloth and gently pressed down on the lens to fix the adhesive and then removed the plastic from the other side of the glass
