The buckle is thicker and stronger than a lot of sternum buckles i have on other daypacks. The nylon webbing is medium weight and flexible. They seem pretty sturdy and i'm sure would be useful for their intended use in outdoorsy stuff.
Cons
The slider is really flimsy, much thinner and weaker than comparable sliders you find on backpack straps and other common strapping sliders. It is not heavy duty as that term is commonly used.

Quality
The strap feels sturdy and it helps distribute weight more evenly, making it easier to carry heavier loads when i hit the trails.
They are made of nylon webbing which in my experience is a durable material.

I really like this product; the cost is reasonable, and i wish i would have added this onto my backpack years ago!
For me, that's worth every single penny of their modest cost!
For such a low price point, i wasn't expecting the nylon webbing to hold.

Many lower priced backpacks especially ones for kids do not have these sternum straps to secure the straps
