Highlights
Quality
Very sturdy product and super easy construction, my 15 year old son and his friend did most of the pergola construction!
It’s very sturdy and has nice clean lines to it .
The straps are made out of a very slippery material that doesn't hold very well and will eventually start to fray given the weather.
Not hard work and most pieces even once assembled were easily handled by us.
Price
The price for something that will last us forever is great!
We had this professionally set up by the company recommended assemblers, worth every penny and very reasonably priced.

Shipping
Instead, they registered my product and shipped a replacement post (which was about 9" inches square, 8' long and made of steel) for free.
Customer service was hassle free and they sent out the replacement parts quickly.
I contacted customer support and they quickly sent spray paint cans to touch up the areas.
Packaging/appearance
The hardware was incredibly well packaged and marked.
I can't speak for what caused the post dent, but the joist was dented when it fell onto concrete edging material.
Know that for the 12x16 pergola you are going to receive 4 boxes that weigh close to 200lbs each.
For fastening into concrete i would recommend buying separate redhead concrete wedge anchors as the ones provided in the packag... Read More

We do notice there is a very slight sag to the longer crossbeams on the finished unit even when installed and fastened correctly and looking at pictures of other 16x12 backyard discovery pergolas in the reviews here it appears were not alone in that

Not a huge or immediately noticeable issue just something to be aware of for these bigger 16x12 versions

The cover is a great feature although i found in any kind of stiff wind you need to buckle and knot the nylon straps otherwise the slack will eventually pull out of the clamp threading entirely
