Pros & Cons
Pros
Baleaf products are as good as brands cost 3x as much. It's cheap and does the job. The pockets are decent for my keys but maybe not my iphone pro max. The 2-pack is a great deal.
The liner material is so soft that i'm able to wear the mutilated shorts with no chafing. Elastic is still snappy. Always tough to find the large back pocket and a good liner.
These are comfortable, ultra lightweight and they wick moisture well. They are not baggy either, which i've had problems with in other brands. These are very thin but in a good way.
Cons
The rear, zipped pocket is nice, but too small for my cell phone. The inner liner is too big and allows my private parts to chafe.
The fabric in this shorts is very clingy, and doesn't really work well for running. They have a lot of excess material which makes them seem baggy, and full of air.
The bottom seam on the shorts hangs down about 3 inches below your *. These are not like any name brand 5” inseam. The fit in the waist and length is fine but the * is very baggy.
Highlights
Quality
Good pockets , durable material, great purchase!
They're very durable and have held up through many runs, hikes, and washing machine spins!
The material is light weight, there's an inner lining and when working out or running there is no binding at all.
Unfortunately the draw string didn’t keep the garment secure once a phone was placed in it.
Price
This is why:extremely comfortablevery lightweightpocket that fits a phoneperfect length for some casual wearexcellent price
Plus, the 2-pack is a great deal.
At around 20 bucks these give you everything a 60 dollar pair of running shorts does.
These were on sale so i tried them.
Competitiveness
I own multiple pairs of these in both 5” and 7” inseam, and nothing else even comes close to comparing.
I find these shorts more comfortable than the patagonia trail shorts and the rei swiftland shorts.
This is my second round of replacing other brands with the baleaf shorts.
