Pros
In the saddle, these are great. The shorts basically has my baleaf biking underwear sewn under nice pair of outer shorts. Originally purchased these mtb bike shorts in size large, the same as my other baleaf cycling shorts and padded liners.
The padding has a combination of foam and gel which is very cushioning. It helps reduce chaffing with the padded groin. The inner liner is well padded which is what i love most of baleaf.
Each side has a deep pocket that secures with a zipper. The zippered pockets are positioned well for retrieving items on or off the bike.
Cons
The inner shorts just rides up the leg and causes major discomfort. The padding is very thin and just moves way to much. Only good thing.

Great color, fit and comfort as the padding was just right.
Baleaf stuff typically holds up really well over time so i suspect that these will provide comfort for years to come.
One would expect a loose fitting mtb short to be plenty roomy in the seat and leg areas but correctly fit the described waist size.

The attached photo shows baleaf lycra cycling shorts next to these mtb shorts, both stated to be men's size large.

Just a personal preference but most of the biking pants are not anything that i would ever wear
