The pockets zip which is great and it’s very cozy.
It is everything i love in a jacket -- cozy, soft, warm, lots of secure pockets to put my phone, tissues, wallet, etc.
There is a zippered pocket at each hip on the outside and a slip pocket at each hip on the inside.
Thickness-wise it is about that of your average fleece or mid-weight hoodie.

The polar fleece is soft and warm but its just a bit too early in the season to be able to test this out in the real cold
