The only incident with mine was using them with a pair of shoes which opened up at the heel and foam got stuck to the socks

The support version of these socks include some extra cushioning around the ankle and a nonskid gripper zone which looks like extra padded and ribbed portions of the sock

Due to the targeted padding these socks are also keyed as l or r which is stitched into the toe area of each sock for quick reference
