Pros
Balega is my favorite running sock. They stay where you need them (over the ankle bone), and in the wash can be stretched gently so they keep their form for a long time. Great for ankle socks.
Materiels are excellent. Super comfortable, stay in place on walks/jogs. They are also very durable.
They wash very well, they get some pilling in time, but it's minimal. Launder well and do not shrink or lose the elastic. Today i use them for cross fit work outs, just enough cushion and comfort.
The synthetic fabric reduces the likelihood of blisters, and they have just the right amount of stretch. I routinely ride 15-20 miles (1-½ to 2 hrs) in the desert so heat and sand are common.
Cons
Seemed nice at first but started to fray after half a dozen uses. Threads are still very noticeable pressed between the fabric of the sock and my foot.

The quality is still there, just not quite as comfortable for an over 200 pound runner.
I have many varieties of this product.
I am sending the wrong size back in the hope that they can replace it with the right size.
I love the product itself, these socks are my favorite but the vendor did not send the correct size.
Packaging/appearance
Soft, last forever and hold up in the wash.
Competitiveness
The last two balega quarter socks are the best ones i've ever had.
Since i started using the balega enduro socks i don't remember ever getting any blisters.

I have tried to get him other brands but those end up being buried in his drawer and these end up being washed over and over again

Ive given away all the cheap socks that leave me with blisters

Use to love the really low ones so you could barely see them but in last 5 years the tennis shoes i wear have gotten more padded behind the heel and cause the lower ones to slide down into shoe
