Top flap openingthe top of the bag has a flap that opens up with no overhang unlike bags that zip down the center

This is in contrast to the center zip design which you always have a portion of the top of the bag in place making it difficult to load bulky items

At 27 x 12 x 15 inches this comes in at 54 linear inches smaller than the maximum of 62 linear inches most carriers accept for check in
