I didnt like the wire book stand because the arms were fixed so it wouldnt hold very thick books

The arms have little rubbery covers on the ends so it doesnt dig into the pages of the book

Adjustable back for height but will move when you lift up the stand of course since it does not lock in place

Cook books but the clasps on the side have rubberized tips so that should help hold on to pages securely

The only part i dont like is if you pick it up by the book stand part eg if youre holding onto the book as well when moving it the adjustable holder falls back
