We did a range test inside a vehicle and reached 9 miles before losing all signal.

Want low-cost because i plan to keep them in all of our vehicles and hand out to family for them to keep at their houses.
These gmrs radios work well for talking to my neighbors and are very inexpensive.
It’s about $15 to purchase 2 of them separately; so it’s a bummer.

The only thing i was a little disappointed with was the range i tried them and it only reached a mile and a half i thought it would a bit longer range
