The instruction manual that came with the radios is insufficient, but with the help of youtube, you can learn how to program the radios.

An optional kit can be purchased to make things a bit easier, but the included chinese software with the kit was useless & buggy.

Price

The price of this radio for the features provided is great.

Packaging/appearance

For additional protection, i recommend opening the radio and coating the electronics with silicone conformal coating.

You would get a better value from buying a uv-82 and and modifying it by coating the internals with silicone conforming coating.

This comes with a nub attached to the radio which slides into and out of the clip which stays on your belt.

Competitiveness

I've a owned a number of baofengs (mostly uv-82s) but this is my favorite because of it's ip67 rating.
