- usb-c charging is a big win, any radio that does not have this is not even on my radar anymore.
I checked with their support and they confirmed that the lcd panel will stay on even though the backlight is off.

Value for price:from my perspective and experience, the price of $52.
The low cost is incredible for what this radio can do.
7m ht this might be worth the money if you are willing to work with bare bones programming software.
What can i say, i can't resist buying all of the new inexpensive ht's that come out.

They have responded very quickly each time i contacted them.
Once saved in the cps, then you can enter the aircraft channel names.
Packaging/appearance
It's also packed full of nice accessories and should come with everything you could possibly need.
These are more capable than the uv-5r, and come packaged with all of the basic bell-and-whistle upgrades you could want.
I'm sure they were just working out packaging and product details, and the cable was accidentally omitted.
However, what i can see from the item received is that this is a well thought out pack.
Competitiveness
There is so much more to these than what has been offered in the past by baofeng such as the uv5r.
(also better than the quansheng) note that i also own a couple of quansheng uv-k6's and love them as well.
Cons:- rx audio is very hissy sounding, even compared to other baofengs.
Also, this process is different than the k5 plus model where you only press the * button.

Personally i found them to be fairly unintuitive to use so initially youll really want the manual onhand to know where to find various features

It is almost the same as the k5 plus radio except the new k6 model is smaller form factor
