Quality

Very easy to use, factory quality cable!

Simple to use and interfaces with the free chirp software perfectly.

Caveat: this is cheaply made; there are many reports of the usb cover falling off.

While i am still learning radio programming; i have come across poor quality cables for programming various brands of radios.

Price

Not expensive at all and compatible with many of my radios.

In any case, this is a solid product for a great price.

If it's anything over $10, i don't think it would be worth it.

And even at around $10, for as popular as the uv5r is/was i think it would be high.

Packaging/appearance

The construction of this cable seems to be good quality out of the packaging.

Competitiveness

The baofeng software is very similar to chirp and is very easy as well.

This cable makes programming a baofeng or any of several other brands of radios very easy.
