It claims 11w but realistically the output power for most if not all chinesemanufactured handhelds baofeng radioddity tidradio etc

In fact this radio must be approved by the fcc for import and if i recall correctly the fcc puts a 10w max on handheld radios so you do the math

Now compared to the ubiquitous uv5r arguably the radio that baofeng is most famous for the uv5r with the standard battery will fit in a shirt pocket with the antenna peeking out
