Pros & Cons
Pros
Robust, affordable, essentially unlocked for non-ham bands. I'm a novice ham and found these radios to be easy to program. Messing around with other friends testing different antennas.
Great programmable radios to do anything from frs to shortwave frequencies. They transmit and receive well.
Cons
These are not genuine baofeng radios. Cheap as junk, literally. Not real abbree antennas.
Highlights
Quality
I use them around the house and let me say the sound quality is crystal clear and the look is even more awesome.
My experiences with the extended antennas have been a real hit or miss.
They only come with the large battery and not the standard one so be aware.
Order the product and amazon did its thing.
Price
We just got these coz price was decent & seemed like a good quality.
The baofeng uv-5r is a bargain for what little they cost.
