Pros

This radio is great for monitoring 2 channels at a time. Lots of fun to listen in to the ham chatter, gmrs and murs. Amazon reccomends the nagoya 771 antenna. Test in simplex, not the lazy repeaters.

The build quality on this thing is astounding, considering it's from ole china. Battery snaps on with a nice detent. Its an improvement on the bf-8. But it's not as hard as some reviewers make it out to be either.

This radio is awesome. Solid little radio, especially for the price.

Cons

Buyer beware you might be out $25. The chargers for all now show red light even before thr batey is inserted. Manual has no usable information. Product is not usable.

Plenty of channel space, good battery life, easily programmable with chirp (you'll need a proper cable, don't buy a counterfeit).

They work well, strong signals, i can reach repeters up to 100 miles away that are in line-of-site.

The radio doesn't work at all if you're close to a powerful transmitter and suffers from poor rejection of signals on nearby frequencies.

Newly purchased unis will nor connect to chirp/ radio.

Great peace of mind for under 20 bucks!

It's an excellent ht for the price.

I have no idea how they can make a profit selling this for $24!

For the $18 per radio that i paid i am not really going to be upset.
