Pros
Though the sound is a little tinny, it carries and us easy to understand. The radio is rather flexible in its capabilities. I recommend this radio to anyone who needs an inexpensive software programmable radio.
Cons
My biggest gripe is that the battery charger was defective. Reached out to the seller through amazon several months ago and, to date, have not received any response. Would not by from this seller again.
The company claims that the fm radio works out of the box. This was marketed as the long range model and even pictured with an 8 inch whip antenna.

These have been crushed, wet and frozen.
The battery is only 17-1800mah, so 2 days is about the length of charge you will get.

This is a great radio for the value.
I used this ones every year for summer camps and for the price i believe is the best option out there

When switched over to the nagoya stubbyrubber antenna range drops a lot down to about 12 mile at best
