Nearest repeater on the 2 meter band is 9 miles. They work great and are a good starter radio. Works great, sounds good, plenty loud.
No complaints. Can't ask for more for twice the money imo.
Cons
I'm disappointed as the reviews are so strong for this radio. The charger was not included, new charger is $15 which has now made this a bad purchase. Terrible experience. Ridiculous customer service.

Great starter ham radio , very easy to use and reliable
These have held up and with minor repairs, broken clips and lost screws out of said clips seem to do job just fine.
There are a million videos and reviews out there talking about what it can do, i just want to comment on how well built and solid it feels.
It feels rugged and designed to be dropped.

Can't go wrong with these radios, they are great for the price.
You’re not going to find anything better for sub $20.
Just needed a second radio and this was the cheapest one on amazon.
