My 5yr old kindergartener loves this chelsea doll. Normally the barbies in general leave me underwhelmed, but my daughter (8) and niece (5) love them. The outfit chelsie comes in is very soft and nice to the touch.

I will say we have lost some of the smaller accessories already though they are small

I would not advise getting this barbie for young toddlers who still put things in their mouth or at least remove the small pieces before letting them play with it

It is a kind of a surprise toy but without a surprise as you do know in advance what exactly you are getting

So there is a monkey in the box and it even visible through the opening in the lid top of the pink monkey head
