Pros & Cons
Pros
Mini wheels are a fun shape to have instead of the normal spaghetti or elbows. The pasta shape holds onto sauce. Wagon wheels yippee-i-o-ki-ay.
The pasta cooks up great, doesn't get soggy or anything like that. Even if you overcook it a bit.
The taste is what you'd expect from barilla and they cook up to a nice al dente state easily. The chew textures are delightful. Reminds me of when i was younger, watching the saturday b&w tv with the cowboys and indians and the conestoga wagons.
When still chewy, drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Mix in precooked pasta in an equal part to the entire mix of prior ingredients. For kids try chicken noodle or plain-old tomato.
Highlights
Quality
They taste really really good, and the quality of this brand is also very high.
Great pasta, good flavor, good consistency, easy to prepare, i will buy some of the other shapes with the 4-pack pricing
Comfort foods, reminds me of when i was younger, watching the saturday b&w tv with the cowboys and indians and the conestoga wagons.
Price
I personally am a fan of barilla because they manufacture low cost pasta, and then sell it to me in bulk on amazon.
Buying it this way was much cheaper than the store cost.
The price is about what you pay in walmart, but delivered to your door.
The price is also right and these go on sale often.
Competitiveness
I loved barilla products, but i won't be buying them anymore.
