Pros & Cons
Pros
Barilla protein plus pastas are high in protein, fiber and omega-3. High in protein and lower in carbs than regular 100% carb pasta. Tastes great and the texture is good.
Barilla protein elbow pasta is a top choice for my family. The extra nutrition you're going to get from barilla over other pasta is something to consider when looking for value for your dollars. Amazon prime pantry has very good prices on this product... Read More
High in plant protein, lower in carbs. Goes with any food(s), and is easy to prepare. People tell you to cook these pastas longer than called for. Tastes just like the regular noodles, but more protein & fiber.
Cons
The spaghetti noodles get little round balls on them when you cook them because the noodle basically starts to disintegrate. The whole line is. Mushy and have a horrible texture.
Highlights
Quality
Directions are proper so it cooks very nicely!
So why not go with the cheaper, which would be whole wheat.
Price
The price is nice, and when/if you catch this product on sale, well, that's a bonus!
Shipping
I liked the fast cooking; cooks in half the time of regular pasta.
Competitiveness
If you're looking for a high protien pasta, this is a solid choice.
This has a good amount of protien and lower in carbs.
It doesn't taste like a health-food product.

Less ability to cook al denté and texture even if slightly undercooked results in a somewhat mushier starchlike pasta

I don’t think my kids could tell the difference between these and regular ones

I thought they were slightly a little more “mushy” or soft as compared to an al dente cooked regular elbow noodle

It’s not as flakey and mushy as a wheat noodle its more like a white noodle than a wheat one

I only does it taste as good or better than regular pasta if you can tell the difference at all

It could be up to 3 a box in the grocery store but buying a 12 pack on subscribe and save makes it less than 2 a box
