The dogs do not like to wear them however and my shepherd seems to always figure out how to get it off and then has managed to totally destroy the straps and buckle

I make the muzzle tighter to keep them from pulling it off by putting their collars thru the loop on the bottom of the muzzle and then wrapping the buckled strap around the collar nylon collar once or twice depending on tightness need before snapping

Clearly i have purchased this muzzle more than once it was mostly my fault for not watching for a few minutes giving this bad boy an opportunity to take it off

Downside of the muzzle is the middle strap can cause rubbing and create issues with hair loss or even a small scrape depending on how rough the dogs are during play
