Ideally id spray it in then run a comb or something through my hair but finger comb works too

I spray it lightly on the roots from ear to ear in 1 inch partings

I tried the colored ones and ended up with little spots of color all over my vanity and if you get it on your skin like the skin around my face at my hairline its harder to get off
