This is why most phones,laptops and tablets nowadays have nighttime mode- specifically to block blue light.
It protects my phone well. Fits well, has a nice tactile feel to it. I feel it will do what i want it to, which is just protecting the phone.

It protects the edges of my phone but it doesnt really protect the screen so try not to drop your phone much
