Pros
It has a precision point for delicate work. It seals as it cuts so there is no fraying. Shibori, madame and all types of beading. Cuts the thread closer and neater than scissors.
Cons
After inserting the battery the thread burner is not working and the button appears to be wobbly. This is the second one that i have purchased and doesn't work. Save your money and time this item is useless, with no customer rights.

The contruction is so simple there cant be many possibilities

I eventually found that the issue is the lack of current through the body of the zapper

To solve this i unscrewed both ends of the zapper including the end that says dont unscrew this end and gave both ends of the body a quick rub with sandpaper
