This thing is near silent and very snappy for all everyday tasks.

The usb ports work well. I download the intel client that automatically updates drivers. All the bells and whistles.

Cons

With linux installed, the system sometimes hangs. I run without turning on the webcam and using phone audio and even then it’s disastrous. The fan on this machine goes off every few seconds that i got a headache from it.

A nice bonus is the red power button as it is much easier to see than the camouflaged one that was on the dell.

Perhaps more notably, it is running ableton lite with numerous vst plugins for recording guitars and vocals without issue.

Compared to a number of different mini pcs that i have, including a few different models from beelink, the u55 is both expensive and slow.
