Pros & Cons
Pros
The b-2 pro is a great microphone. It's easy to compare it to a neumann u-87. Every microphone type has some differences in nuance. The mic is sensitive and produces great sound.
It has multiple pickup patters and the sound is actually quite good. The sound is very u-87 like, the noise floor totally acceptable. It has a very clear and slightly warm tone.
The build quality is great & i'm exceptionally pleased with it's sound quality. The body itself is solid metal and reassuringly weighty.

Cons

Price
The ideal inexpensive workhorse microphone for anybody into recording.
For the price you can't beat it.
That said lets be honest, in the world of $1,200 to $2,500.
001% by the using an expensive european microphone.
Packaging/appearance
The case that it comes in is very cool too.
Competitiveness
I'm also a huge fan of the new microphones being offered by mxl as well as rode's current microphone lineup.
To even compare it with neumann's studio staple is an incredible feat considering the price differential of the two mics.
