Pros & Cons
Pros
These mics use the popular cardioid pattern perfect for voice and some music. The dual clip adapter seems cheap and may break but has already taken a face plant from tipping over the mic stand and was fine.
Quality is great for streaming and amplifying the piano. Same is true for the stringed instrument. I want to produce something that is both artistically and technically excellent.
There is no better sounding mic for the price. Versatile mic depending on your placement, environment, and skillset. Russian mics are a bit smoother in the upper register.
Sdcs are amazing for drum overheads! We have a choir at church composed of 5 people on each mic and the mic manages to capture all of them. These were purchased partly for mic'ing kids on stage and partly for playing around with in my small home studi... Read More
Not a replacement for neumann or akg, but definitely worth having around, just in case. They even rival my $800 rode nt 55 pair. May even get another pair for back up. A pair of matched condensers is even more desirable, so i grabbed these as a backup... Read More
Cons
The only fix is to replace the microphone. Both microphones produce noise, so if they're defective it's both of them. One of the microphones buzzes loudly to the point of clipping. They are noisy & thin sounding.

These sound okay for vocals, and would work well if you just need a stereo pair to capture a group.
Price
An inexpensive microphone that actually does a great job.
And outstanding value when purchased at $50 for the pair.
Competitiveness
I think that it's one of the best values on the market today.
However, cad cm217 (which are unfortunately no longer being produced and sold) is still a far better microphone.
Are there better mics, you get your ass, much much better, but not for the money.

These microphones do require 48v phantom power if your sound board doesnt have phantom power or you dont want to activate the phantom power on the soundboard we accomplished this with a behringer micropower ps400 ultracompact phantom power supply

The instructions are printed on a tiny piece of paper in probably a 1 or 2 size font so its easy to miss that these are phantom powered
