Pros & Cons
Pros
It's the best amp i have owned soo far. Used it for an outdoor gig and many bar and small hall gigs.
The ep4000 is a powerful and quiet amp. It powers subwoofer and house mains. Amp powers 4 12 subs in bridge mono and 1 runs 2 dvc 12.
Cons
Fan is way too loud for home use. Was going to mod it. Now it is back to the drawing board to see if a power supply device will fix the issue.
Highlights
Quality
Weight is good, power is excellent, appearance is professional, cleanliness is great
This is by far the best quality amp that i have owned.
Pushes 1400 watts to each prx425 for the shows i do, and even has the potential to bridge and maybe run a sub.
My high end pioneer receiver, even when bi-amped, could never power the polks properly to make the three 7 inch woofers hit hard.
Price
This amp is an amazing value for the price.
Great for the price and definitely recommended.
I spent another $20 for a super quiet fan and installed it in about 10 minutes.
Conclusion: i-tech 8000 cost $8000 or more when it was new.
Packaging/appearance
It was double boxed, which was good, as it had to travel all the way up here to alaska.
Everything looked great when i got it.
Competitiveness
This power amp can compete with the big boyz like the crown, peavey, osd .
I used carver amps for years and i like this one much better.
You can buy better if you spend the $$ for qsc, but at nowhere near this price.
Behringer amps are one of the better deals in pro audio.
