Pros
Installation is a no-brainer. Unzip the download, run the executable and you are done. Headphone output is stereo (instead of the scarlett mono) works great with windows 10.
The two front inputs are mono (studio microphones being catered for) but can be used as left/right stereo pair. The line/inst button, when depressed, engages a microphone amp. Works great with soundforge pro 12 and previous versions.
Great tool for the beginner home recorder. Great for recording your daily podcasts, instrument recording, midi, etc. That's not unusual for an untuned hi rate recording. Go grab the freebies they include on the website.
Cons
Product is fine but it's really look like a demo/return and not a brand new item. There has not been drivers to address the audio clicking since 2021. Gets a very low signal from my regular vocal microphone.

Packaging/appearance
Kind of bummed there wasn't a behringer decal on the box that i could stick on my laptop.
Competitiveness
He noticed quite the difference compared to his 10 yr old steinburg.
It is equal to more expensive options like focusrite.
I tried the the steinberg ur22 mkii which is more money and a terrible product.
At some point, it decided to try other options, more expensive ones and not one was able to compete with the simplicity of this umc204hd.
