Metal switch and socket feel sturdy. Durable, great outlet spacing, huge. It’s sturdy & much more solid (heavier) than the plastic strips.

It is also a good choice for a computer setup, as i happen to be using it for. I think thats a great thing if its because of an unnoticed surge. Mounting lots in rear, but in use mine tabletop.

Product number ends in mtl. Supposedly there is a resettable fuse on the top, in practice though the fuse is not the failure point. Power switch lights up so its getting power but the outlets are all dead. Tried hitting the reset button- no effect.

Having so many outlets right there by my side for the past year had spoiled me. That negates the fire protection that would be offered by a real metal outlet strip. The cord was also loosely packed in this box with no ties as in the other box.

Top and sides are metal but the bottom is just plastic. Worst of all, it was constructed with rivets, so the internals cannot be repaired without damaging the casing.
