I think for the money they could have put magsafe in the base as well for the ipods.
This is one of the only magsafe chargers with 15w charging, the majority or chargers you see on the market for cheaper are only 7.

Not thin cable and a brittle plastic plug instead thick cable and solid charging plug with some weight to it

Also not easy to slide the stand due to the weight and rubber feet of it
