It was just a matter of plugging in this db15-usb adapter. For those wanting to use it with flight simulator 2020, the application detects every joystick control movement. The computer recognizes the controller and it works fine.

Cons

This is a ridiculously simple adapter that only works with one specific joystick, not all sidewinders. The sidewinder sensor light goes green, and red when i turn the sidewinder sensor off.

The usb part is in the joystick, this is just a wired cable. This contains no circuitry. To get it to work, you *must* mod the connector or the controller itself.

It works with my z420 workstation however; you must jump the 2 and 7 pins together for it to be discoverable and usable on windows 10.

Nedded to expan my stem for a 6th monitor for my flight sim.
