Several motherboards i tested did not properly conform to usb-c specifications, causing the cable not to work properly.
Edit: after a month or two of troubleshooting i figured out the problem, and it was *not* the belkin cable.
Price
So although expensive, the cable is performing exactly as it should now, and works flawlessly.
At 80 dollars for a 6 foot cable, this is one of the more expensive cables you have to invest into.
This is a wonderful cable and although it's a bit pricey that's kind of the cost of thunderbolt cables currently.
Shipping
The replacement arrived a few days later, and had the exact same troubles.
Transfers are fast and charging is fast.

Good build and should last for years, and a much better value than something like an apple branded cable.
The quality seems to be equivalent to apple brand cables.
Sadly, everything thunderbolt is higher cost, but thunderbolt 4 is currently the best connection available.

The cable has gotten looser the covering isnt as rigid but thats the only noticeable difference
