The magnetic hold is very strong and a white light turns on when it's charging. The low glow of the light makes it easy to find the phone at night. The magnet is strong enough to stick (lightly) through my non-magnetic plastic phone case.

This charging puck is a great purchase. At night it charges extra slow to preserve battery integrity.

The cable is a decent length. Easy to use, solid connection and the right length of 6 feet with travel cord management snap.

Cons

it never feels like the magnetic connection is secure. The magnet isn't strong enough to connect reliably to an iphone, so it's a random guess whether you've got it in the right position to charge. It limits charge at 7.

I bought a magsafe case from spigon and this charger works very well.

I have a mag-safe charger stand, but most of my covers won't allow my phone to stay stuck to it.

Maybe you guys are using the wrong case for magsafe charging.
