This one seems far more solid, with molded connections and sturdier cable. Both ends seem pretty thick and indestructible. Works as advertised.

The displayport connection is a little thicker than the base of the surface book. Worked great connecting surface pro 3 to a dell monitor. Paired with a microsoft surface book without any issues.

Hdmi cable 15 ft - braided cord. Perfectly complements the new 4k hdmi cable. It's bulkier than the apple brand adapter but it works great.

It is good quality connector and works with my old mac book pro and 32 inch lg monitor.

This cable does not fit into the surface pro 3 docking station mini displayport (dp) without some custom modification.

The device doesn't get hot even after hours of use with my devices.

Much more confident in it, and at the price difference it's well worth the peace of mind.

Literally half the price than at best buy.

I tried at least three other adapters but none work as good as this one.

Related products: the belkin dp mini to hdmi adapter with the identical male-end form factor has the same issue.

Bottom line, belkin engineers did an excellent job, but their graphic designers phoned it in.
