Charging goes as expected but the cable’s led stays off until the device is unlocked

The overmolding around the lightning connector is large as it houses the led light so it may not fit your device case

The charging status light works fine but is of limited value for me it is as easy to tap the phone screen to check it status as it is to scrutinize the tiny glowing dot which may be upside down anyway
