Pros

Belkin receiver works great. Painless setup. Only criticism is they are a tad pricey.

It is pretty cheap and paired really well with a small, cheap receiver. It’s connected to a dac via toslink that then feeds into the speakers. Seamlessly add airplay support for older speakers or stereos.

Right now, black friday, amazon has it for $60.

90 is a steep price for what it is.

So, again, it is a little pricy, even on sale but, for an all airplay home, it works good.

Competitiveness

These are a great replacement — not 100% bulletproof (requiring the very occasional reboot) but better than the apple hardware ever was.

These have been more stable than the old airports and were easy to set up via nfc and apple home.

But note, there are other products ( wiim mini airplay2 wireless audio streamer, multiroom stereo, preamplifier, works with alexa and……).

It works just as well if not better than sonos at 1/5 of the price.
